Children's Work

children

smudge-chalk-kids001 (1)We want the kids to feel so part of the church that they call it their church, we want them to have great fun, make friends, learn more about Jesus and have opportunities to meet with Him.  Our heart for the children's work to be so fun and so great that adults would want to go to join them!

How do we do this?
Creche (6 months to 3 years).
We don't currently don't have a creche however we love kids and are super relaxed about noise so there is no reason kids can't play next to their parents during our meetings.  We room we meet in has lots of space for children to while parents can still listen to the meeting.  Parents just need to make sure they supervise their kids at all times.

Reception-Year 6
Here at Overflow Church, we love kids and love to share Gods love with them. We usually start off with the whole church worshipping God and having some fun and then we go into our group. We have tons of fun learning about God and doing Bible studies while playing games, dancing and doing crafts. We don't just want to teach them Bible stories as we want them to have the opportunity to encounter God for themselves and build their own relationship with Him. Each week is different but it’s always lots of fun and lots of opportunities for the children to grow in their faith. Activities can range from prayer walking around Winsford to playing games.

As part of helping kids feel part of the church and grow in their confidence and relationship with God, they get to lead the main meeting from time to time.  The kids get to lead worship, to stand out the front and inspire the rest of the church to worship and come up with some great ideas for the rest of the meeting.  These meetings are loved by the kids and the rest of the church. The kids are still inputting into our online meetings, and we would especially love them to recommend songs that we can then use in our worship time, so if you have any ideas, please get in touch.

Our aim is to make sure every child can be themselves in a safe and welcoming environment and our children's workers are appointed through our safeguarding procedures, including receiving safeguarding training.
